Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park has developed three affiliated units including the Training Center (SHTP Training), the Research and Development Center (SHTP Labs) and the High-Tech Business Incubator (SHTP-IC).
The leader of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park said that the difference of SHTP-IC incubator is that the products of enterprises selected for incubation must meet the criteria of the high-tech list approved by the Prime Minister.
According to Mr. Cuong, the incubator has close cooperation with SHTP-Lab, a key research unit with an invested laboratory, and SHTP-Training, which has the function of training high-quality human resources. Along with that, SHTP-IC coordinates with many universities and the ecosystem of high-tech enterprises in the area, creating a three-house model with strong potential to support the development of technology startups.
Mr. Quach Anh Sen, Deputy Director in charge of SHTP-IC, said the certificate proves the incubation efforts of nearly 18 years of establishment and development. This is an opportunity for SHTP-IC to promote incubation and innovation activities of enterprises when operating in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park. To date, this unit has more than 130 projects that have been and are being incubated, with the capacity to incubate 50 high-tech projects at the same time with a system of laboratories, workspaces, a team of more than 100 experts and supporting partners.
Mr. Le Quoc Cuong said that the certificate is the driving force to help the incubator complete the incubation criteria, meeting the increasing demand of projects and technology development trends. Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park will connect with prestigious units in the creative startup network, attract technology experts, financial experts... to best support the projects.
