According to VNIDA, in a fluctuating economy characterized by rapid change, interconnected challenges, and unprecedented complexity, the need for adaptive governance has never been more pressing. Therefore, the 2023 Vietnam Directors Summit will be an opportunity for administrators to gain insight into the current context as well as explore innovative strategies that help organizations overcome challenges and promote sustainable development.
As the largest event for board members and senior managers in Vietnam, the 2023 Vietnam Directors Summit is organized with the goal of supporting connections, promoting the transformation process, and inspiring through discussion activities surrounding emerging issues within the Board of Directors and methods of leading businesses for sustainable development.
In addition, the conference is also a place to learn from leading experts in the industry, expand business cooperation opportunities, and learn how to grasp risks and challenges with the Board of Directors' activities.
It is expected that the Vietnam Directors Summit will include two main discussion sessions. Of which, the first session focuses on the content "Adaptive Governance: Towards a Stable, Responsible, and Flexible Board of Directors", while the second session focuses on the content "Transforming Family-Owned Companies: Viewpoints of Members Inside and Outside the Family-Owned Company".
Besides, bringing together leading experts in leadership and corporate governance, the conference also brings presentations on today's most concerning issues, such as the economic picture with risks and challenges in 2024, ethics in leadership and corporate culture, the state of ESG, global governance directions, innovation management, and emerging technologies.

The 1st Congress of the Vietnam Independent Directors Association (VNIDA) was organized on April 28, 2022, in Hanoi
The Vietnam Independent Directors Association (VNIDA) was established under Decision No. 04/QD-BNV dated January 5, 2022, of the Ministry of Home Affairs. On April 28, 2022, VNIDA held its 1st Congress, marking a big milestone for all members of the Association who share the same goals, aspirations, and companions for the Association’s development.
VNIDA defines its vision as becoming the leading community of independent members and board directors in Vietnam. VNIDA's mission is to promote best practices in corporate governance; to enhance the value of independent members and the operational efficiency of the Board of Directors through networking, training, and experience sharing, as well as protect members' interests to strengthen the professionalism, independence, transparency, and integrity of independent directors.
VNIDA’s objectives are: to advocate and protect the interests of independent directors; to promote best practices on corporate governance and board leadership; to set up and strengthen professional and ethical standards for independent directors; to provide practical trainings, forums and research to promote independent director professionalism, enhance corporate sustainability, and strengthen the trust of shareholders and other stakeholders; and to provide an effective platform for wide-ranging networking and professional opportunities for independent directors.
Regarding structure, VNIDA's Executive Committee includes: Mr. Nguyen Sinh Dung Thang - Chairman; Mr. Dang The Duc-Vice Chairman, Deputy Secretary-General, and Founder and Managing Partner of Indochine Counsel; and Mr. Le Hong Linh, Vice Chairman and Deputy Secretary General, and other Vice Chairmen, namely Ms. Hoang Hai Anh, Mr. Hoang Duc Hung, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, Mr. Ngo Dinh Duc, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Mr. Trinh Thanh Binh, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hieu, and Mr. Hoang Manh Thang.
